The Thumbsucker
Lovely, lovely movie, about addiction, and uncertainty, and vulnerability.
I popped down to Video-Ezy to get this. It wasn't awkward, because we basically pretended we didn't know each other.
"Small world, D----." I tell him. "My sister says she's met you."
He laughs.
I smile.
He smiles.
He passes me the DVDs.
"Enjoy it."
"I will."
I pause.
"See ya."
"See ya."
I guess that's that then.
